Carolabarb Park

heart heart heart
Details

If you're searching for an unforgettable view of Canandaigua Lake, Carolabarb Park is one of the best scenic overlooks in the Finger Lakes. Located along County Road 12 on the way to Naples, this peaceful hilltop park offers sweeping views stretching all the way to the north end of the lake.

Perched high above the southern portion of the lake, the scenic overlook provides the perfect setting for a spring, summer, or fall picnic. Visitors can relax at the overlook while taking in the dramatic landscape of the lake’s rugged southern end and eastern shoreline.

For those who want an even closer look, the park includes two public viewfinders, allowing visitors to scan the shoreline and admire landmarks up and down the lake. These viewfinders are dedicated to John Brahm, a beloved Naples local and winemaster who began the Arbor Hill Grapery and Winery business that you see all over the Finger Lakes.

The park sits on land that was once a working vineyard, but today its 38 acres of conserved land protect a stunning mix of open fields, forested ravines, and wildlife habitat. Bald eagles are occasionally spotted soaring above the property, and the park’s proximity to the High Tor Wildlife Management Area adds to its conservation importance as part of a larger protected landscape in the Canandaigua Lake watershed.
