Cayuga Museum of History and Art

Details

The Cayuga Museum of History will be closing its main campus after Saturday, May 25 for an impending construction project that is expected to last through the Summer into the Fall of 2024. Although the Museum is closing its primary programming space, the Cayuga Museum will not cease operations and will instead focus on mobile programming across Cayuga County and, beginning Saturday, June 1, will open a new, temporary location called Cayuga Museum Downtown. The new location will be the primary space for the public to visit when looking to explore the general history of downtown Auburn, with exhibits exploring the history of the Case Research Lab and downtown Auburn and hands-on activities for visitors of all ages. Cayuga Museum Downtown will be in operation from June-September, and this space will also be the location of the majority of the Cayuga Museum’s onsite programs. Cayuga Museum Downtown will be open every week, June-September, from 10 AM - 4PM on Mondays & Wednesdays-Saturdays. To learn more about the Cayuga Museum and the changes happening this year, go to the Museum website at cayugamueseum.org or call 315-253-8051. The Cayuga Museum Downtown will be located at 144 Genesee St., Suite 100. Paid street parking is available immediately around the space, and free parking is available in the nearby parking garage by the Equal Rights Heritage Center.
