An official Path Through History Site! Manhattan`s last Dutch Colonial farmhouse, the Dyckman Farmhouse and Museum, has overlooked Broadway for more than 200 years. Constructed in 1784 mostly of fieldstone and clapboard, this farmhouse is now filled with objects that evoke New York`s Dutch heritage. Restoration was completed in 1916, including a fieldstone smokehouse and a reconstructed half-timbered wood hut, originally built in the area by Hessian soldiers during the Revolutionary War.
