An official Path Through History Site! Named for Governor Reuben E. Fenton (1818-1885), the 25th Governor of NYS, the Fenton History Center is an historic house, a regional museum, and a comprehensive research and genealogy center all in one! The 1863 Italianate Villa mansion is full of exhibits portraying the rich and vibrant history of Jamestown and surrounding areas, with rooms devoted to the industries that built the community, immigration, the Underground Railroad, pioneer living, Victorian culture, Lucille Ball, and so much more! Come take a tour, listen to a lecture, talk to an expert genealogist, and learn a little more about what makes this area of the state so special.
