Our one room schoolhouse is listed on the Historic Preservation listing and was built in the middle 1800"s. We have numerous historic artifacts in the schoolhouse including desks, chairs, maps, old baseball items, books, farming implements, dolls, school bell, woodstove, hangings and much more. Our local town historian is always in attendance to offer historic information and answer questions. We have printed wall rack cards with the schoolhouse on one side and baseball on the other. The first game of organized baseball ever played was in Hamden, NY and we have may informative displays. Our historic one room schoolhouse is open on weekends and a weekday during the warmer months of operation from May to October. It is always open for appointments at any time, by calling 607-74-6660, extension 2. Hours of operation are listed on our website.
