An official Path Through History Site! The Hartford Museum, housed in the former Elisha Straight house, is one of the oldest houses in the hamlet of Hartford dating back to the early 1800s and interprets the industry and daily life of that period. The Civil War enlistment center is the only Civil War Enlistment Center remaining in New York State. The collection concentrates on the soldiers, their equipment, their stories and the battles they fought.
