Henderson Harbor Performing Arts Center

Details

In the relaxed, picturesque community on the eastern shore of Lake Ontario in the town of Henderson NY, sits the Henderson Harbor Performing Arts Association, Inc. property. Located at the western end of the Harbor on county Route 123, aka Harbor Rd. The 18 acres of open grounds and woodlands is the location for exciting and relaxing entertainment. Music, theater, art from some of the finest local talents, as well as performers from afar are offered in this small-town location. In 1986 the Town of Henderson donated the property to be developed for this purpose. The Board of HHPAA have diligently pursued this dream. Property is ideal for other purposes such as family reunions, weddings, life celebrations, or just a quiet family picnic in the Maple Grove. Throughout the summer season, there are performances and events that vary. A Shakespeare troupe presents his plays, on one-woman historical play, a wine tasting, art show, specialty and classic car shows, and events for children, in conjunction with the local Summer Recreation program. The George Colligan Quintet, Broadway Performer Lisa Vroman, Peggy Miller & Willie, ventriloquist act and the Syracuse Symphony just to name a few who have shared their performances. The goal of the HHPAA is to build an open-air stage as well as a year-round event center. The COVID-19 pandemic has brought programs and fund-raising to a halt, they know they are not alone.
