An official Path Through History Site! Founded in 1886, the society preserves and interprets the history of Jefferson County through its museum, archives, and exhibits. Housed in the 1870s Paddock Mansion, the museum features local history exhibits that chronicle the area`s development and growth, the life and times of its residents, and innovations and inventions that have played an important role in the region`s progress. The society also preserves a large collection of artifacts and documents associated with the county`s history and culture.
