An official Path Through History Site! Situated in the picturesque town of LeRoy, New York, we are an educational organization that promotes and maintains the rich history of LeRoy. LeRoy, famously known as the birthplace of JELL-O, has countless stories to tell from its beginnings to its commerce, industries, agriculture, schools, and most importantly, its unique people. The LeRoy Historical Society, is home of the LeRoy House and the JELL-O Gallery Museum. The Jell=O Gallery is currently open Thursday - Saturday from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm and on Sunday from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Guided tours are available and groups are welcome any day with advance notice. In addition to the Jell-O Gallery, there is a transportation exhibit and exhibits in LeRoy House. The historic LeRoy house is open on Sunday and by appointment or chance. Please call or visit our website for more information. We offer hop-on-tours of our Barn Quilt Trail and the Underground Railroad. LeRoy was also the home of Ingham University, the first accredited University for Woman. A TasteNY attraction.
