Kingston Heritage Area Visitor Centers

Details

An official Path Through History Site! Kingston grew into a bustling commercial center during the 17th and 18th centuries and later became one of the world's largest producers of bluestone. It was also New York's first capital at the end of the Revolutionary War. The Kingston Heritage Area boasts two visitor centers, one in the historic Rondout waterfront area and the other in the Stockade historic district. The centers highlight and interpret the city's rich history and offer opportunities to tour the area's historic neighborhoods.
