The Madison County Fair Board is busy making plans to hold the Annual Fair on July 8th-11th in 2021.
The Fair will host daily performances of Buffalo Barfield, a longtime fair favorite, along with a variety of live entertainment. Every day the offers will include 4-H livestock exhibits, agricultural displays and demonstrations, and educational contests.
Grandstand events that are in the works include truck and tractor pulls, demolition derby, and dare we say stock car racing. These events all depend on safety standards that are yet to be determined.
Wheelock Rides will be providing the midway with thrilling rides and games for all ages. Naturally, the fine fair cuisine that you have been longing for since the pandemic hit will be offered throughout the fairgrounds.
This plan will be dependent on the continued decrease of new COVID-19 infections in the community in the upcoming months. Throughout the planning process, fair officials will work closely with the Madison County Health Department along with closely monitoring trends in the community and will work to have safety measures in place. The fair experience will be a bit different this year. Everyone will be required to adhere to strict guidelines, such as social distancing and face coverings. The health and safety of our guests is our top priority.
