Max V. Shaul State Park

Max V. Shaul State Park is a small, quiet camping area with 30 wooded tent and trailer sites. A group campsite is also available to rent, perfect for families, friends, scout troops, and more. The park has shady picnic grounds, as well as playing fields and a playground. There is a nature and hiking trail as well as a fishing access trail to the Schoharie Creek. The covered pavilion is a great choice for birthdays, reunions, school trips, and more. In the winter, enjoy a snowshoe hike around the campground loop and trails or try out the ice skating rink located by the playground. While there, visit Mine Kill State Park, just 9 miles south, to enjoy swimming (in season), boating on the beautiful Blenheim-Gilboa Reservoir, Mine Kill Falls, and miles of trails.

Handicap accessibility details: One accessible campsite is available; all bathroom facilities are accessible.
Pets are allowed on leashes up to six feet, and owners must clean up after them. Campers must have current rabies certificate for their pets.
Camping fees are $15/night for weekdays and $19/night for weekends; *additional $5/night for non-NY residents; *additional $1.25 walk-in registration fee; Pavilion is $75/day.
