Locations and topics include: Gateway Landing Park, Schenectady: The story of the Stockade District and the early colonial western frontier; Aqueduct Park, Niskayuna: Upper Erie Canal Aqueduct and early rail transportation; Mohawk Landing Park, Clifton Park: Agricultural heritage and growing leisure time during the Industrial Revolution; Lock 7 Dam overlook: The power generation and Erie Canal construction through the "young engineer's cut"; The foot of Ferry Drive, Clifton Park: Early Dutch settlement and Vischer's Ferry river crossing; The Vischer Ferry Nature and Historic Preserve, Clifton Park: Interpreting the Native American culture and the Mohawk flood plain; Clutes Dry Dock, Clifton Park: History of the Erie Canal village and dry dock; Dunsbach Ferry, Halfmoon: History of the Mohawk River crossing at this location; Crescent Park, Halfmoon: The Erie Canal village that grew up around the lower aqueduct of the Erie Canal; The Old Military Crossing, Colonie: The story of this Mohawk River Crossing during the Revolutionary War; Cohœs Falls, Cohœs: Interpreting water power, textile mills, and other historic features; Waterford Harbor: Interpreting early Dutch influences, the Erie and Champlain Canals, and the village that grew around them.
