An official Path Through History Site! One of the first Frederick Law Olmsted-designed parks in Buffalo, the 350 acres of meadow, forest and lake serve as Buffalo`s "Central Park." As the focal point of the Olmsted System, it contains many popular cultural institutions. The Museum District near the park includes one of the finest collections of modern art at the Albright-Knox Art Gallery, a tribute to local artists at the Burchfield Penney Art Center, and the Buffalo and Erie County Historical Society.
