Northport Historical Society



An official Path Through History Site! The Northport Historical Society and Museum are located in a landmark, c. 1914 Carnegie Library building in the heart of Northport Village's Main Street. Hosting a variety of exhibits, educational programs, and community events, the Society seeks to enlighten visitors about Northport’s unique place in history. Highlights include Revolutionary War encampments, shipbuilding, oyster barons, law book publishing and later, an assortment of famous authors, including Booker T. Washington, Antoine de Saint-Exupéry and Jack Kerouac.
