Carlton Hill Multiple Use Area provides a variety of habitat types for game and non-game alike on its 2,484 acres.Visitors can enjoy white-tailed deer, turkey, and pheasant hunting as well as birding for a variety of rare species including Henslow's sparrow, northern harrier, pied-billed grebe, and horned lark. In fact, the site is so important for birds that it was designated as a Bird Conservation Area in 2006.
