An official Path Through History Site! Rogers Island was one of the largest British fortifications in North America, serving as the staging ground for the British and provincial troops invasions that would eventually drive the French northward into French Canada. As a Lakes to Locks Passage Heritage Center, exhibits at the Visitors Center tell the story of the Fort Edward area from the earliest Native Americans through the Revolutionary War.
