In 2007, Royalton re-opened its doors in Midtown Manhattan, re-thought and re-imagined. New York design firm Roman and Williams re-created the hotel's lobby, which now juxtaposes a cast-glass vestibule and steel and brass furnishings with suede upholstery, leather walls and hide-covered chairs to create a dark, sexy and luxurious space. Other details include a floor-to-ceiling fireplace, a screen that was once part of a building in France and leather walls done in a pattern reminiscent of African tribal art. Guestrooms offer luxurious bedding, high-definition flat-screen televisions and a work space with wireless high-speed Internet. The hotel also includes a fitness center and in-room spa services.
