An official Path Through History Site! The Saratoga Springs History Museum, located in the Canfield Casino in Congress Park, has three floors of exhibits telling the Story of Saratoga Springs, including an orientation gallery and featuring the exhibit Along the Winding River: A Natural and Human History of the Kayaderosseras Watershed. The Saratoga Springs History Museum is the only museum dedicated to preserving the history of Saratoga Springs, one of the nation’s most iconic cities. The organization has served the community since 1883 as a museum, repository, and research center. The History Museum preserves a collection of 16,000 objects that range from the 1802 Gideon Putnam Tavern sign, to Victorian dresses, and ephemera from the mineral springs and beyond. We also preserve the George S. Bolster Collection. This nationally recognized archive contains over 375,000 photographic negatives of Saratoga Springs, 1855-1980.
