Shou Sugi Ban House – the Hamptons’ first destination spa and wellness retreat – is a private sanctuary in Water Mill, just 90 miles outside New York City. Located next to The Parrish Art Museum, the world class property comprises thirteen private guest studios, a luxury treatment spa, demonstration kitchen, outdoor dining orchard, and saltwater swimming pool, as well as mindful communal spaces, all just three miles from the ocean. Surrounded by evergreen trees and lush grasses, each guest studio accommodates one to two guests and features a luxurious soaking tub, modern gas fireplace, and garden patio.  Open year round, the award-winning spa offers luxury wellness treatments and healing arts sessions – including facials, massages, body treatments, sound baths, energy work, and more – as well as yoga, breathwork, meditation, fitness, and nutrition classes. The culinary program features plant-forward cuisine designed in collaboration with Michelin-starred Chef Mads Refslund, a co-founder of Noma and ILIS, and the Culinary Creative Director of Shou Sugi Ban House, using locally-sourced hyper-seasonal ingredients, complemented by organic wines and champagnes. Since its opening in 2019, Shou Sugi Ban House has been annually ranked as a Top Destination Spa Resort in the U.S. in Condé Nast Traveler’s Readers’ Choice Awards, and Travel + Leisure’s World’s Best Awards, and the only property in the Hamptons to receive these accolades.
