Join the Warren family on an organic livestock farm and goat dairy/creamery in the Catskills and experience authentic country life. Guests enjoy a first-floor suite in the 1863 Greek revival farmhouse, which incorporates a guest bedroom with a double bed, private bath, and library with a private entrance. After a bountiful farm breakfast, guests may opt to participate in a guided tour of the farm and lend a hand with farm chores. Stone & Thistle Farm's livestock and poultry are raised on pastures most of the year. The goats, pigs, and poultry are fed minimal amounts of local grains. The beef cows, lambs, and meat goats are fed only grass or hay with a dash of sunshine. NO added substances, chemicals, anti-microbials, or drugs are utilized to raise normally solid, ranch new meat, and eggs. Grass-fed meat is lower in total fat and calories but richer in "good fats" such as omega-3 fatty acids and the cancer-fighting fats. They grow a lot of love in their animals. Farming is a family adventure. They are focused on raising happy, healthy animals, and living a fun, healthy life. Farm family members include border collies and livestock guardian dogs.
