The Sullivan O&W Rail Trail is a year-round, recreational, multi-use trail along the former right-of-way of the New York Ontario & Western Railway that passed through Sullivan County. There are currently seven trail segments totaling roughly 30 miles open to the public. Once full build-out of the trail is completed, the Sullivan O&W Rail Trail will span approximately 50-miles from Wurtsboro to Livingston Manor. Currently, Hurleyville is the only location where a section of the trail is both paved and ADA accessible. The trail is currently undergoing a significant expansion with the construction of a pedestrian bridge over the Neversink River in the Town of Fallsburg. Once completed, the bridge will connect approximately 14 continuous miles of trail and is on track to be completed by the end of 2026.
