Swain Resort

Swain Resort is the oldest continuously operated ski area in New York, operating for over 70 years. Whether you conquer the black diamonds, meander to the bottom on a wide-open trail, or savor the thrill of hitting the rails at one of the terrain parks, Swain has something for all ambitions and abilities. The resort offers 120 acres of skiable terrain on 35 trails. In addition to downhill skiing and snowboarding, the resort offers a quality terrain park and night skiing. Lessons are available for ages 2 and up. Drop-in childcare is available for kids 18 months through 7 years old. The resort features year-round lodging on-site, and it acts as a wedding venue for indoor, outdoor, and hilltop weddings. Special events during the ski season include live music, Rail Jams, ski swaps, Snowmobile Hill Drag Race, Christmas Eve Pancakes with Santa, and New Year’s Eve Party. In the summer and fall, Swain hosts the Western New York Bowhunting Festival and its annual Beer Fest.
