Syracuse University Art Museum

Details

The SUArt Galleries is the newest main campus venue for the visual arts. Accessible through the Shaffer Art Building, the facility hosts a variety of exhibitions throughout the year in a space of nearly 10,000 square feet. Recent shows have included Francisco Goya: Disasters of War and Impressions: Jasper Johns.
The department's mission is to enhance the cultural environment of the University and the Syracuse area through meaningful educational experiences and encounters with art. These experiences can include exhibitions curated by the professional staff, traveling exhibitions and faculty-directed encounters with objects from the permanent collection.
