The Applewood Inn & Suites , the former Sir Robert Peel Motor Lodge, has been in operation since 2013. Apple trees will soon be blossoming and the first big weekend is Victoria Day weekend, followed by Memorial Day weekend. The season really kicks off bike weekend at the end of June. Overlooking a gorgeous expanse of countryside on the outskirts of Alexandria Bay, the Applewood Inn & Suites offers 19 spacious rooms and suites with king/queen size beds or two queens , all with refrigerators and microwaves. Some are set up with full kitchens for more comfortable longer stays. A beautiful new front balcony graces the front where guests can sit outside and enjoy the balmy breeze outdoors. On many occasions Mickey escorts people up to the family restaurant and pub, PJ’S Rive Rat Café in Fishers Landing to have dinner and cocktails. A new playground is planned for this summer and will take the form of a pirate ship to join in the pirates weekend fun.
