Founded by Danny Meyer’s Union Square Hospitality Group, The Modern is a Michelin-starred contemporary American restaurant at the Museum of Modern Art. The lively Bar Room offers chef Abram Bissell's seasonal contemporary cooking à la carte, along with an award-winning wine program along with carefully curated cocktails, beer and spirits. Guests have the option of sitting in The Bar Room, the adjacent lounge, or at the vibrant 24-seat marble bar. Walk-ins are accepted in all three areas, and The Bar Room also welcomes reservations up to 28 days in advance. The Modern is a non-tipping restaurant.
