An official Path Through History Site! The Bronx Museum of the Arts is an internationally recognized cultural destination that presents innovative contemporary art exhibitions and education programs and is committed to promoting cross-cultural dialogues for diverse audiences. Founded in 1971, the Bronx Museum of the Arts specializes in contemporary art from diverse cultural backgrounds, as well as art to which the Bronx itself plays a central role. Easily accessible by subway, the museum is surrounded by a diverse neighborhood with parks and restaurants.  In celebration of its 40th anniversary, the Museum implemented a universal free admission policy, supporting its mission to make art experiences available to all audiences.
