The Heckscher Museum of Art

An official Path Through History Site! The Heckscher Museum of Art is located in scenic Heckscher Park, in Huntington, within walking distance of downtown shops and award-winning restaurants. Formally based on the private collection of August Heckscher—German immigrant, industrialist, real estate magnate, and philanthropist—the Heckscher Museum of Art, beside a Huntington Village pond, currently maintains a Permanent Collection of more than 2,500 works from the 16th to the 20th century, including European and American painting, sculpture, works on paper, and photography. The Museum provides a dynamic schedule of changing exhibitions on American art.
