Thousand Islands Winery is the largest farm winery in Northern New York state and is located along the majestic St. Lawrence River on a historic 40-acre farmstead established in 1836. The winery began in 2002 with the purchase of the farm by Steve Conaway and his wife Erika. The primary grape varieties being grown at the winery include Frontenac, Frontenac Gris, Marquette and La Crescent which were developed by the University of Minnesota. The introduction of these cold-hardy grapes to the Thousand Islands region is the very reason we now enjoy the benefits of the ever-expanding Northern New York Craft Beverage Trail. Thousand Islands Winery is open every day except Christmas from 10am - 5pm with extended hours from April to December and hosts multiple on-site festivals featuring live music. The winery's expansive property offers many options for hosting weddings and special private events throughout the year and features on-site lodging in three beautiful three-bedroom vacation rental homes.
