Tour President Franklin D. Roosevelt's hilltop retreat in Hyde Park. from 1938-1945. Top Cottage was designed by FDR to emulate Dutch colonial architecture and to accommodate his disability by allowing him to use his wheelchair and have greater independence. FDR used it extensively from 1938-1945. Explore the grounds and hiking trails on the property, as well as the other nearby National Park Service sites, including Springwood (FDR's home), Val-Kill (Eleanor Roosevelt National Historic Site), and Vanderbilt Mansion.
