Details

The Tri-City ValleyCats (often shortened to 'Cats) are a professional independent baseball team based in Troy, New York. The Tri-City name refers to the three nearby cities of Albany, Schenectady, and Troy which make up New York State's Capital District. They play their home games at Joseph L. Bruno Stadium which seats 4500 fans and includes 10 luxury suites, a spacious picnic area, and a grass seating berm. “The Joe" has an open air concourse designed to give every seat a great view of the field and an intimate ballpark feel. Each night is a unique event, with entertainment acts, heritage nights, and fireworks shows providing the perfect environment to enjoy a summer night. From 2002 to 2020, they were members of Minor League Baseball's New York–Penn League (NYPL) as the Class A Short Season affiliate of the Houston Astros. They joined the Frontier League for the 2021 season, which was designated as an MLB Partner League that year.
