Ward Melville Heritage Organization Educational & Cultural Center, ECC



An official Path Through History Site! The Ward Melville Heritage Organization's 8,800 square foot Educational and Cultural Center is located in the rear of the Stony Brook Village Center. Built in 2002, the center is a performance, rental and exhibition venue as well as a state-of-the-art interactive videoconferencing facility. Events include timely productions of Chinese New Year, Black History Month, the "Home With..." series of musical theatre high tea luncheon shows, "Living History" performances, concerts, exhibits and distance learning programs celebrating Long Island and New York's history, gala events, children workshops and summer activities. The Stony Brook Village Center has long been recognized for its architectural design and include several historic properties such as The Thompson House, The Brewster House, the Ernst Marine Conservation Center and Three Village Inn.
