Revolution! Local Lives in the Age of Independence

On Saturday, May 23, 2026, GOHS will open our next special exhibition, Revolution! Local Lives in the Age of Independence (May 23 – November 2026), commemorating the nation’s 250th anniversary. 

On display in the Brzozowski Special Exhibition Gallery and Buckingham (Main Street) and SUNY Alumni (Dietz Street) Windows, the exhibition will explore some of the diverse men and women in our region that experienced, helped fight for, shaped, or were shaped by the American Revolution. 

“This summer,” says Curator and Executive Director Dr. Marcela Micucci, “GOHS looks forward to joining with historic sites, museums, and battlefields across the state and the nation to celebrate the semiquincentennial with our special exhibition, Revolution!”

The exhibit will remain on display through November 2026.
