"The Underground Railroad Today" Festival

On September 12, 2026, in collaboration with Frontenac Historical Society, Tour Cayuga, and the Harriet Tubman National Historical Park, the NYS Equal Rights Heritage Center will be hosting “The Underground Railroad Today” festival in Auburn, NY. To commemorate America 250, this event will be a celebration of local cultures throughout Cayuga County that promotes community building, historical education, and social tolerance and understanding. It will focus on the intersection of community development, cultural diversity, and civic action through the historical lens of the Underground Railroad. Enjoy food samples, music from SingTrece, keynote speakers, presentations, a community discussion circle, and more! ASL interpretation will be provided by Interpretek through the National Park Service.
