Haveli, a North Indian restaurant in Forest Hills, is named for the mansions of the rich and famous of Indian antiquity. Chef Daljeet Malik's menu incorporates heritage recipes of various families who once owned these mansions, from the rustic tandoori kababs of the North West Frontier Province and the aromatic Mughlai cooking of Lucknow and Hyderabad, to the delicate seafood cooking of the coast. The seasonally evolving menu encompasses a broad selection of vegetarian and non-vegetarian cuisine, from simple dishes for an everyday dinner to much more complex preparations for the gourmand.
