2024 Total Solar Eclipse in New York State: Fun for Families and Kids
With many regions of New York State in the direct path of totality for the total solar eclipse, happening April 8, 2024, it's the perfect time and place for your family to make memories that will last a lifetime. Here are some fun and educational activities to enjoy with your kids as you get ready to experience this once-in-a-lifetime cosmic event in the Empire State!
In addition to these resources, WXXI Education has curated a digital toolkit of PBS KIDS resources (video clips, games, printables, crafts, etc.) appropriate to engage young children and their grown-ups around the upcoming solar eclipse! The resources are appropriate for use with young children and their families in a variety of learning settings (libraries, schools, out-of-school spaces, and more).
