While most mountains are as friendly to snowboarders as they are to skiers these days (after all, snowboarding has been an Olympic sport since 1998) some New York slopes offer more than others for shredders. At larger resorts like Gore, Whiteface and Holiday Valley, you'll find plenty of terrain parks filled with the jumps, boxes and rails boarders crave. But don't count out the little guys: Woods Valley, Mount Peter and Titus are among the smaller resorts that devote plenty of their real estate to terrain parks.
Check out some of the mountains below, then get cracking on planning your next snowboarding adventure in New York State. With more ski and snowboarding destinations than anywhere else, you've got no shortage of options in the Empire State.
