Hornell, NY — Hornell Partners for Growth (HPG) is proud to announce the return of the 12th Annual Wildflower Festival, taking place on Saturday, May 30, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Union Square Park in downtown Hornell.
This free, family-friendly event continues to grow each year and celebrates community, creativity, and the arrival of spring with a full afternoon of live music, children’s activities, vendors, and food. Festivalgoers can enjoy live performances throughout the day: 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM: John Wetherbee and from 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM: Jinn Smith.
The Wildflower Festival is designed with families in mind, offering a variety of free activities for children, including: Free face painting and airbrush tattoos by Badger and Butterfly Studios, Complimentary terra cotta pots for kids to paint, Free wildflower seeds for children to plant and take home. These hands-on activities are intended to inspire creativity and encourage a love for nature and community.
A special addition to this year’s festival is the first-ever Stearns Poultry Farm’s Chicken BBQ fundraiser, hosted by Catholic Charities Steuben/Livingston. Presale tickets are available for just $15 and proceeds from the BBQ will support Catholic Charities Emergency Services and their vital food kitchen programs serving the communities of Bath and Hornell. Be sure to plan on grabbing your family a delicious dinner that day.
The Wildflower Festival serves as a direct investment in the businesses that make up the Hornell Partners for Growth (HPG) Business Improvement District. With more than 230 businesses across the district, events like this are designed to drive foot traffic, increase visibility, and encourage residents and visitors to shop, dine, and explore everything downtown Hornell has to offer. In addition to a wide variety of local craft vendors and community organizations, the festival creates meaningful opportunities for small businesses and entrepreneurs to connect with new customers and strengthen community relationships.
Events of this scale and accessibility would not be possible without the support of dedicated community partners. HPG extends special recognition and sincere thanks to this year’s highlighted sponsor, Maple City Savings Bank, for their continued investment in community programming and their commitment to helping keep the Wildflower Festival free, family-friendly, and accessible to all.
Hornell Partners for Growth continues to expand its year-round programming, including festivals, live music, and family-focused community events. Businesses, organizations, and individuals interested in sponsoring future events or partnering with HPG are encouraged to get involved. Sponsorship opportunities provide valuable visibility while directly supporting free community programming that benefits residents, visitors, and the local economy.
