Governor Kathy Hochul today announced the opening of “Waterway of Change: Complex Legacies of the Erie Canal,” an engaging new visitor experience at Canalside in Buffalo commemorating the Erie Canal Bicentennial. The 2,900-square-foot exhibit invites guests of all ages and abilities to explore Buffalo’s canal legacy through an inclusive and engaging lens. Housed in the Longshed building, Waterway of Change brings the canal’s layered history to life with short films, interactive touch screens, immersive audio, and historic artifacts. Complementing the indoor experience, a series of outdoor interpretive displays along the historic towpaths will offer visitors a deeper connection to this transformative chapter in New York’s story.

New York, NY — The Paul Taylor Dance Company returns to The Joyce Theater from June 17–22, 2025, with a landmark engagement that breathes new life into two rarely seen dances from the 1960s and 1970s. This special week of performances marks the Company’s most ambitious reconstruction project to date—culminating in the revival of Tablet (1960) and Churchyard (1969), each reconstructed for the first time in decades. The program also features three enduring masterworks by Paul Taylor: Cloven Kingdom (1976), Polaris (1976), and Esplanade (1975), which continues its 50th anniversary celebration.

Irvington, NY — On June 13, Irvington Theater will screen Gonzo Girl the day after its Tribeca premiere, and before it is distributed to theaters. Following the screening, Academy Award-winning actress Patricia Arquette will discuss her directorial debut, along with writer Cheryl della Pietra, whose novel – about her experience as the assistant to Hunter S. Thompson, the creator of gonzo journalism and one of America’s most celebrated and storied literary giants – served as the inspiration for the film.
