May 21, 2018 – Empire State Development and the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation today announced the grand opening of The Wick, a new hotel in Hudson, Columbia County. The $10 million project transformed a former manufacturing plant into a boutique hotel with 48 rooms and seven suites, a restaurant and bar, and enclosed rooftop patio overlooking the Catskill Mountains.

(July 14, 2017) Governor Andrew M. Cuomo today announced the groundbreaking of a $33 million deluxe hotel on the shores of Chautauqua Lake. Hart Hotels Inc. and Krog Group will work in tandem to build the $33 million upscale hotel in the lake front community of Celoron. The project is one of the largest private-sector-fueled, tourism-based developments to take place in Chautauqua County.

“Chautauqua Lake is one of Western New York State’s greatest tourism assets and by building these high-quality accommodations, we are showcasing the region’s unique waterfront areas to attract even more visitors and revenue,” Governor Cuomo said.
