Saratoga Springs, NY  – Saratoga Performing Arts Center (SPAC) announces its 2025 NEW YORK CITY BALLET (NYCB) season from July 9-12 as part of its 59th season in Saratoga. The residency will feature full-length story ballet Coppélia, which held its world premiere at SPAC in 1974; Jerome Robbins’ The Four Seasons, an audience favorite set to Verdi’s vibrant melodies; George Balanchine’s masterpiece Stravinsky Violin Concerto and Justin Peck’s newest work for NYCB, Mystic Familiar, which will have its world premiere as part of NYCB’s 2025 Winter Season.

General Swimming Hours Continue at Select State Parks

Governor Kathy Hochul today announced New York State Park pool attendance increased by nearly 36 percent this summer after making State Park pool access free as a part of her “Get Offline, Get Outside” campaign and New York Statewide Investment in More Swimming (NY SWIMS) initiative. Overall, State Park attendance also increased by nearly 2.5 percent over the summer season. The Governor launched the “Get Offline, Get Outside” initiative to promote physical and mental health by helping New York’s kids and families to put down their devices, take a break from social media, and enjoy recreation and outdoor social gatherings.

Governor Kathy Hochul today announced New York State Park pool attendance increased by over 65 percent between July 4 – July 7 after the Governor made State Park pool access free all summer as a part of her “Get Offline, Get Outside” campaign. Overall State Park attendance also increased by 30 percent over the holiday weekend, from 2.2 million visitors in 2023 to 2.8 million this year.

Long Island, N.Y. - Swim Across America - Long Island Sound is holding its 32nd annual open water swim on Saturday, July 27, 2024, with more than 800 swimmers and volunteers all making waves to fight cancer. The swim offers four swim distances: a 10k across Long Island Sound, a 5k and 2k point-to-point swim that dives in at the Larchmont Yacht Club and ends at the Larchmont Shore Club, and a ½-mile pool swim at the Larchmont Shore Club.
