Rochester Eclipse CollaborationRochester, N.Y. – Rohrbach Brewing, Three Heads Brewing, and Strangebird Brewing are proud to announce that they will be teaming up to create a trio of unique specialty beers to commemorate the once-in-a-lifetime total eclipse over Rochester, NY on April 8th, 2024. Each beer will represent one of three phases of a total eclipse: The Lighter Side, The Darker Side, and Totality. The beers will be released in unison on March 11th, 2024, and will be available in cans at local retailers, as well as on tap at local bars and restaurants.

Dutchess County’s Revolutionary War Impact Highlighted

Poughkeepsie, N.Y. (February 15, 2024) – Dutchess Tourism, Inc. (DTI) announced the launch of Commander in Cheers, an innovative augmented reality initiative aimed at sparking new engagement with the Revolutionary War history of Dutchess County, kicking off a multiyear celebration of the United States of America’s Semiquincentennial on July 4, 2026. This innovative project will spotlight the roles Dutchess County played in the Revolutionary War and highlight its contributions to American history. The campaign represents a collaborative effort between DTI, Dutchess County Historian William P. Tatum III, Ph.D., technology partner Evercoast and DTI’s agency of record, FourthIdea, to create an immersive experience that educates, entertains, and inspires visitors of all ages.

Historic Huguenot StreetNew Paltz, NY (July 12, 2023) –Historic Huguenot Street (HHS) is proud to present Boos & Brews, Haunted Huguenot Street Site Tour.

Every Friday evening in July, HHS will be offering walking tours of the National Historic Landmark District that focus on the eerie and unexplained occurrences in New Paltz history. Guests will meet at the DuBois Fort Visitor Center at 7:30 PM for a glass of locally-made hard cider or craft beer. Then, an exterior walking tour will head down one of the oldest streets in America, as both the myths and real-life frightening events that have haunted Huguenot Street for centuries are explored.
