Osceola, N.Y. – The North American Fiddlers Hall of Fame and Museum, 1121 Comins Road, Osceola NY, welcomes Paul Machabee as the Featured Performer at the FREE CONCERT on August 9, 2026 from 2-5 pm. He will perform at the Fiddlers Pavilion, with its dance floor, brick patio, Museum Store and snack bar. It can also be enclosed in case of bad weather.
Paul has been mentored by Inductees of the Hall of Fame throughout his life, including Gretchen Koehler, playing with her throughout Middle and High School. While getting a degree in Geosciences at Skidmore College, he found sanity-saving breaks from studying in the musical mentorship of Hall of Fame Fiddler John Kirk, and his partner, Trish Miller.
A familiar face around Northern New York, Paul’s performance resume includes appearances among Koehler’s Potsdam-based Madstop Fiddlers and participation in a number of community events around Malone, NY. Farther afield, he has made busking appearances at farmer’s markets, hosted fireside singalongs on the banks of Mountain View lake and New Hampshire’s Squam Lake, played solo gigs and experimented with country/rock accompaniment with musicians around Michigan’s upper peninsula. Paul also carried a fiddle during a 5-month period where he was ‘out for a walk’ along the Te Araroa trail, which runs the length of New Zealand. While most often recognized for his fiddling abilities, Paul also enjoys singing and will try to wring a tune out of any instrument he can get his hands on.
There will be an opportunity during Paul’s mid-concert break for the audience to Jam with local musicians. Bring your instruments and/or your voice and join the group. If you wish to solo, you may sign up by 3:30 at the Museum store.
The Hall of Fame and Museum are OPEN AND FREE whenever the site is in use, and at other times by appointment. The site is handicap accessible. There is FREE PARKING on the left side of the shared driveway. The site is Smoke-Free, Pet-Free, and Drug-Free.
