Glens Falls Take a BiteGlens Falls, N.Y. — Downtown Glens Falls is turning up the flavor on Wednesday, July 29, as Take a Bite presents Slider Slam, a friendly competition to find the community's favorite slider. From 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., visitors can stroll through downtown, sample creative sliders from participating restaurants, enjoy live music, family-friendly activities, and explore local shops while casting their votes for this year's People's Choice winners.

Restaurants will compete in two categories: Best Slider and Best Vegan Slider, with winners determined through online voting by event attendees.

In addition to the competition, guests can enjoy everything that makes Take a Bite a favorite summer tradition, including small plates from local restaurants, live entertainment, shopping, and a vibrant downtown atmosphere.

"We're excited to add a little friendly competition to Take a Bite while highlighting the creativity of our local restaurants," said Candice Frye, Chair of Take a Bite. "Whether you're coming to cheer on your favorite restaurant, discover a new one, or simply enjoy a summer evening downtown, Slider Slam is a great way to experience everything Glens Falls has to offer."

Take a Bite is held every Wednesday through August 19 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. throughout Glen, Ridge, Bay, Maple, and South Streets in Downtown Glens Falls.

The event is produced by the Glens Falls Collaborative with support from the City of Glens Falls, the Glens Falls Business Improvement District, and Advokate.
