Magic FestIrvington, N.Y. — Bring the whole family down to Irvington Theater on Saturday, July 26 for 2 fantastic magic shows in 1 unmissable day of mystical fun! The Irvington Theater Magic Fest features acclaimed magicians and performers Zach Alexander and Melissa Leigh.

The event kicks off at 3pm with The Sword Fighting Tea Party starring Melissa Leigh as Princess Peigh in a magical, action-packed adventure. This interactive children’s theater show (ideal for kids ages 4-10) blends royal elegance with swashbuckling fun. Kids learn swordplay basics, experience Provolonian traditions, and help save the kingdom—all while laughing, cheering, and playing along. Perfect for young heroes and heroines who love fairy tales with a twist!

Then at 6pm, the family-friendly Deviant Deceptionist is an interactive, genre-bending magic experience starring Zach Alexander in a mix of sharp sleight of hand, psychological twists, and dry wit. Part con artist, part storyteller, Zach invites the audience into a world where perception is pliable, lies feel like truth, and you're never quite sure who’s in control. Expect mind games, unexpected laughs, and the kind of magic that makes you think.

“We are so thrilled to offer this uniquely exciting, family-friendly offering to Rivertown audiences,” said Jessica Arinella, Irvington Theater Commission Co-Chair. “Make a day of it and join us for both performances! It’s a perfect event for the young and young at heart.”

A seasoned performer with over a decade of experience, Zach Alexander has headlined nightlife shows at iconic venues including The Slipper Room, Coney Island, The Copacabana, and The Rose Room. Known for blending elegant sleight of hand with clever storytelling and a touch of mischief, Zach's performances leave audiences laughing, questioning reality, and begging for more. When he's not breaking brains on stage as The Deviant Deceptionist, you might find him workshopping new material, reading comics, or playing overly competitive board games with friends.

Melissa Leigh has over a decade of acting experience both on stage and off. Some past credits include Fiona in Shrek the Musical, Matron Mama Morton in Chicago, Lucy Van Pelt in You're a Good Man Charlie Brown, and her most recent character and creation, Princess Peigh in Princess Peigh's Sword Fighting Tea Party where she she also acts as director, creator and writer. When Melissa isn't on stage as a fun loving Princess or one of her other lives, you can find her at home with her cats reading a good book, planning the next performing adventure, or collecting rocks on nature walks.
