Tickets for both shows on sale Fri., March 3
Waterloo, N.Y. – Two performers have been added to del Lago Resort & Casino’s entertainment lineup: Comedian Chelsea Handler will take the Vine Showroom stage Fri., June 9; and musician Sergio Mendes will take the stage Fri., June 30. Chelsea Handler is an American comedian, actress, writer, television host and producer who hosted the late-night talk show Chelsea Lately on the E! network from 2007 to 2014, celebrating a tenure as the only female late-night talk show host on air. She also released a documentary series, Chelsea Does, on Netflix in 2016 and hosted the Netflix talk show, Chelsea, in 2016 and 2017. Handler was named one of the 100 most influential people in the world on the Time 100 list in 2012. She has cemented herself as one of the top comedians in the industry, even earning a Grammy nomination for Best Comedy Album in 2020.
Brazilian legend Sergio Mendes is known for his era-defining Latin-pop sound with his group Brasil ’66 and his collaborations with world-famous jazz legends. Mendes was nominated for Best Original Song at the Oscars in 2012 for his song “Real in Rio” from the movie Rio. Sergio Mendes has collaborated with several successful musicians including The Black Eyed Peas, John Legend, Justin Timberlake and Stevie Wonder. Mendes has had 77 releases throughout his career including his most recent album, In the Key of Joy, which was released in 2020.
