Domingo WorldWith Latin Grammy Winning Musicians, Art, and Site-Specific Performance

Domingo World 2026 takes place Sunday, June 7th in Far Rockaway as a single-day event bringing together their most ambitious and expansive artist lineup to date

Far Rockaway, Queens, New York - In its fourth year, Domingo World is an annual art, music, and performance series at Edgemere Farm in Far Rockaway, Queens. Curated by artists and community organizers m i c c a and Giovanni Fernandez-Kincade, and presented by the arts and education nonprofit Edgemere Farm Works, it’s a platform for artists to develop and present work outside the confines of the industrial-art complex, in a historically underserved community of New York City.

This year’s edition on June 7th invites audiences into an afternoon of sonic landscapes, durational movement, ephemeral sculpture, and musical improvisation shaped by the natural rhythms of the farm. Set in the open sunshine of a Queens beach farm, surrounded by growing organic produce, flowers, and chickens, this gathering is playful, atmospheric, and alive to whatever emerges.

Edgemere is proud to present a truly all-star lineup of artists working at the highest level of their respective practices including Latin Grammy-winning flutist Domenica, dancer/choreographer Kashia Kancey, recently named one of Dance Magazine’s “25 to Watch” for 2026, musicians Sriram Raman & Siddharth Ashokkumar presenting a South Indian Classical Carnatic performance, and Rockaway local multimedia artist Saara Untracht-Oakner, creating a unique, site-specific ephemeral sculptural installation.

This concentrated, one-day-only edition reflects the farm’s ongoing commitment to bringing thought-provoking, high-caliber art to Rockaway Beach while keeping it completely free and open to all. Domingo World exists to create an inclusive space where all ages, all communities, and all people are welcome to gather, connect, and experience bold, deeply considered artwork in direct conversation with the land, the community, and one another.

At Domingo World, there are no rules, there are no white walls, there is no stage. There’s mulch, dirt, flowers, compost, chickens. It’s the open air, an open invitation to play and explore, blocks from both the ocean and the New York City Subway A Train. For the community, it’s an opportunity to see creativity take root alongside the natural world. We can’t always tell you exactly what Domingo World will be, but we can tell you that it won’t be what you expect.

June 7th brings two musical acts, a durational dance performance, and a visual installation:

Domenica is a Latin Grammy–winning flutist and performer based in Brooklyn whose improvisatory approach moves fluidly across genres. She has collaborated with artists including Brian Jackson, Musclecars, Marc Ribot, and Dan Auerbach, and co-leads Underground System, a fixture of New York nightlife known for boundary-pushing dance-driven performances. Domenica will present an improvised set on flute and vocals using effects pedals and looper, creating an atmospheric sonic blanket inspired by the surroundings of the space.

Kashia Kancey creates work surrounding themes of joy, nostalgia, urgency, power, indulgence, intimacy, and reclamation of space through the Black queer femme lens. Most recently, Kashia was recognized as one of Dance Magazine’s “25 to Watch” 2026 as a choreographer and performer. Currently based in Brooklyn, she continues making work where she can exist unapologetically and dream without limits. Kashia will present an original site-specific durational performance.

Sriram Raman & Siddharth Ashokkumar will offer a traditional South Indian Classical performance exploring ragas (musical scales) and talas (rhythmic cycles) through a combination of pre-composed works and improvisation.

Sriram Raman is a disciple of mridangam maestro Neyveli R. Narayanan, with a lineage tracing back to the masters of the Tanjore school. His practice is rooted in the rhythmic complexity and improvisational depth of the Carnatic tradition.

Siddharth Ashokkumar is a violinist in the Carnatic (South Indian) tradition, centered on raag-based composition and improvisation. His work explores the expressive possibilities of classical South Indian music through both disciplined study and spontaneous musical dialogue.

Saara Untracht-Oakner is an artist and production designer, whose work imbues cultural, personal, and social observation into sculpture, installation, painting, photography, music, and design with humor, intelligence, and emotional depth. Notable recent work includes her collaboration with the band Geese as production designer for their acclaimed music video “Taxes.” For Domingo World, Saara presents an ephemeral sculptural installation built from found shoreline materials — an extension of her Rockaway-based practice of transforming discarded objects into temporary structures of wonder. The work embraces impermanence, asking what becomes possible when trash is reimagined as art.

Food by Amped Empanadas and drinks will be available for purchase. Portable toilet on-site. Seating is available but limited and attendees are encouraged to use sunscreen, wear a hat, and bring a blanket. Guests are also invited to bring their own cups and help support the farm’s sustainability mission.

About Domingo World: The event was created in Summer 2023 to give artists an opportunity to develop and present work outside the rules and rigors of the material world while creating space for the local community to gather with art in nature. It is a time and place for artists to do things they don’t normally do - to experiment, to play, to let ideas evolve before they evaporate.

About Edgemere Farm: Established in the wake of Hurricane Sandy, Edgemere Farm is a volunteer-run urban farm that provides the surrounding Far Rockaway area with a safe community space and access to fresh produce. Our nonprofit, Edgemere Farm Works  501(c)(3), is dedicated to providing educational, agricultural, musical, and cultural programming to the historically underserved and environmentally disadvantaged neighborhood of Edgemere and the Rockaway Peninsula at large. For many years running, we have maintained an annual program of cultural events and educational workshops that are always completely open, accessible, and free to the public.

Domingo World is made possible by the generous support of NYC Parks, GreenThumb, Partnerships for Parks, City Parks Foundation, Flushing Town Hall, New York State Council on the Arts, New York Foundation for the Arts, and Rockaway Brewing Company.
