Sullivan County, NY -- Get ready to turn up the fabulousness in the Sullivan Catskills this June as we kick off summer and celebrate Pride Month with the groundbreaking event, "Drag Me to the Catskills." This weekend-long extravaganza promises dazzling drag performances, electrifying shows, and a vibrant display of LGBTQ+ pride that you won't want to miss.
Mark your calendars for June 14-16, as this inaugural event sets a new milestone in the Catskills' cultural scene. It's a celebration of love, acceptance, and self-expression, bringing together communities in the most colorful way possible.
Organized by the Sullivan Catskills Visitors Association alongside Up&Out NY, Drag Me to the Stage, The Forestburgh Playhouse, and various community partners, "Drag Me to the Catskills" is the ultimate experience you've been waiting for. Expect to see incredible performances by renowned drag queens like Mrs. Kasha Davis, Darienne Lake, Acid Betty, Thorgy Thor, Aggy Dune, and Ambrosia Salad.
Throughout the weekend, dive into an array of exciting activities including drag shows, dance parties, brunches, and much more. The festivities kick off with "There's Always Time for a Cocktail" featuring Mrs. Kasha Davis at the Forestburgh Playhouse at 8 p.m. on Friday. On Saturday, June 15, soak up the sun at the Get Wet Pool Party hosted by Up & Out at Callicoon Hills Resort from 12-4 p.m. Bring the little ones to a free Story Hour on Saturday morning with Mrs. Kasha Davis at the Hurleyville Performing Arts Centre, courtesy of Catskills Pride. The evening continues with the Catskills Pride Awards Ceremony and Reception at The Eldred Preserve from 5:30-8:30 p.m., followed by the Queens of the Catskills Comedy Show at the Villa Roma at 8 p.m. Finally, wrap up the weekend on Sunday, June 16 with Drag Me To Brunch at the Forestburgh Playhouse at 11 a.m., and a Father's Day Tea Dance at Catskill Provisions from 4-7 p.m.
