Brooklyn, NY (July 13th, 2025) – The Greenpoint Film Festival (GFF) is back with its most daring lineup yet, transforming the streets of Brooklyn into a global stage for groundbreaking cinema. From August 6th to 10th, 2025, filmmakers, artists, and audiences will converge for five days of must-see premieres, provocative discussions, and unforgettable moments—all under the festival’s signature banner of independent vision and community passion.

OUTRIDER (Documentary Feature)
Alystyre Julian’s Outrider is the first feature-length portrait of Grammy-nominated, epic poet, performer, and activist Anne Waldman. Outrider collaborates with Waldman as a person woven of poetry, an inimitable creative and social force dedicated to the propulsion of the artistic imagination and the generative collaborations which form in its wake. The film moves within Waldman’s artistic circles and poetic vortex, to include Patti Smith, Meredith Monk, Bob Dylan, Laurie Anderson, Thurston Moore, Kiki Smith, Pat Steir, and Fast Speaking Music.  Executive Producer Martin Scorsese.

RAVENS (Narrative Feature)
Oscar-nominated Mark Gill directs this hypnotic romance inspired by photographer Masahisa Fukase’s life, starring Tadanobu Asano (Shōgun). Prepare for a film that lingers like a dream.

Film Festival Director - Anthony Argento

Anthony Argento has worked in the film industry since age 16, contributing to productions for NBC, Nickelodeon, and Saturday Night Live. He studied at Pace University (Technical Design) and the New York Film Academy (filmmaking), while also earning recognition from the Astoria Performance Art Center (APAC).

Spotting a demand for hands-on film education, he founded Rollin Studios in 2010. Starting with NYC film students (NYU, Columbia, etc.), the company expanded globally, working on projects like Kill Me, Heal Me (Korea), The Architecture of Love (Indonesia), The Wandering Earth 2 (China), Dear Strangers (Japan). Now focused on narrative features—Rollin Studios continues to collaborate with international productions.

Beyond production, Anthony mentors young filmmakers, believing “our youth shapes tomorrow.”

Broadway Stages at 259 Green Street, Brooklyn, NY 11222. A legendary hub for film and television production, this iconic studio has hosted some of the biggest names in entertainment. Broadway Stages brings Hollywood magic to Brooklyn, offering an immersive cinematic experience like no other.
