Kingston, NY – Get ready to commemorate 250 years of American Independence at Senate House with a special “Let Freedom Ring!” event on Saturday, June 27th from 11:00am - 4:00pm at Senate House State Historic Site. The day will be headlined by a special presentation of historical speeches at 1:00pm, exploring the legacy of the Declaration of Independence throughout American history read by community members. The day will also include re-enactors, live music, crafts, new exhibits, and more.

New Exhibition Opens Thursday, June 25, 2026

Utica, N.Y. — Visions of Utica: The City in Oils by Paul Parker, 1952-1968, a new exhibit at Oneida County History Center, opens Thursday, June 25, 2026. This show, on loan and in collaboration with the Paul Parker Utica Trust, features iconic scenes of Utica’s past from artist Paul Parker, former chair of the Art Department at Hamilton College. An opening reception will be held on Thursday, June 25, from 5:00-7:00 pm at 1608 Genesee Street, Utica.

Skaneateles, N.Y. - Oh, the places they have been. The stories they could tell. And soon, these storied boats of yesteryear  — all beautifully restored — will dock in Skaneateles. Skaneateles’ Antique and Classic Boat Show returns to Clift Park July 24-26. Hours are 3 p.m. to dusk Friday, 9 a.m. to dusk Saturday and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday. Admission is free.

Lake Placid NY (June 16, 2026) - The Lake Placid and I Love NY Horse Shows are returning to the North Elba Show Grounds for the 57th time this summer, bringing nearly 1,000 horses and their riders to the Adirondacks. The equestrian competitions will take place over two weeks, between June 23 and July 5, with more than $700,000 in prize money awarded.
